Vent: Overheard my neighbor bragging about using "password123" for everything
I was grabbing my mail yesterday and this guy in 4B is on the phone saying he uses the same password for his bank, email, and Netflix. Said he's never been hacked so why bother changing it. Told him about the LastPass breach from 2022 and how 2FA could save him, but he just waved me off. Anyone else run into people who think they're invincible until it's too late?

Man some people just don't get it until their accounts get drained. I'd tell him to at least put a different password on his email since that's usually the key to everything else. If someone gets into his email they can reset all his other passwords anyway. LastPass wasn't even a one time thing there's been breaches everywhere. He'll figure it out when his Netflix gets hacked and they order like 30 movies and change his password.

I hear you @noahjenkins but I actually see it a little different. Most people these days have so many accounts that even if their email gets compromised, a lot of sites will send verification texts or use biometrics to reset things. The Netflix example is funny but honestly I think a lot of platforms have gotten WAY better at blocking weird logins before damage gets done.
