Found a dead mall's old directory board still up at Northgate in Seattle last week and it's a goldmine
Last week I went to the old Northgate Mall in Seattle, which is mostly torn down now, but one hallway still had the big directory board up on the wall. I took about 40 pictures of it because it listed stores that closed back in the early 2000s, like a Suncoast and a Orange Julius that I forgot even existed. The best part was that someone had written 'RIP' in marker next to the KB Toys spot. I posted the pics in a local nostalgia group and a guy said his mom managed that Orange Julius for 12 years. If you have a dead mall near you, check the walls near the old restrooms because the directory boards are often left behind when everything else gets cleared out. Has anyone else found one of these boards still up? I want to know what stores were on yours.
