Showerthought: the old fountain at Westgate Mall in Akron beat the new food court statue by a mile
The new management ripped out the 1985 tile fountain with the pennies in it and put up a big abstract metal thing, and nobody sits there anymore, but the fountain had kids and grandparents parked around it all day. The tile was cracked and the water was green sometimes, sure, but it gave people a reason to slow down. Did your local mall ever swap out something old like that and totally kill the vibe?
