Took me 4 hours to figure out why my uncle stopped talking to me over politics
My uncle Ray in Toledo quit responding to my texts after I posted something about a bill, and it took 4 hours on the phone with my cousin to learn he thought I was calling him a name, not the lawmaker. Turns out the whole fight started because he misread one word in my post. I get why people shut down in these arguments now, we are all just guessing at what the other person means half the time. How do you all handle it when a family member reads something totally different than what you wrote?
