Appreciation post: Downtown Boxing Gym owner runs a tight ship

Went to check out the Downtown Boxing Gym on Vernor last Tuesday. Owner was there handling intake forms personally. Made sure every kid had a signed permission slip and a snack before practice. Three staff members were helping kids with homework in the back room. No wasted time, no kids just standing around. Anyone else seen owners who still get hands-on with the daily grind?

Held up my phone and just stared at this for a good minute. Can't believe he actually drove down there himself to help that old guy after his car broke down. Most business owners would've just sent a towing company and called it a day. Really makes you wonder how many people would bother doing that in 2024 when everyone is so checked out. Kinda restores a little faith in humanity honestly.
