I thought coworking spaces were a scam until I tried one in Ferndale
Last year I was dead set against paying $300 a month just for a desk. Then my water heater blew and I couldn't work from home for three weeks. Turns out the networking alone paid for itself, I got two referral clients from other small biz owners in the first week. Anyone else change their mind on something after being forced to try it?

Haven't they just proven the point though? You only liked it because you got lucky with referrals. What if you'd been stuck next to someone who takes loud Zoom calls all day or smells like they haven't showered in a week? I tried one in Royal Oak for a month and the WiFi was slower than my home connection plus I had to fight for outlets like it was Black Friday. For $300 I'd rather buy a backup generator and a decent coffee maker. Feels like a glorified library with a monthly fee attached.

Totally agree, had the same experience at a WeWork in Chicago... the noise level was brutal and I spent half my time hunting for an open outlet with actual power.
