Lost a big catering contract over a refrigeration failure last spring

I run a small restaurant supply business in Hamtramck and a major hotel chain backed out of a $12,000 order after my walk-in cooler died overnight. Had to scramble and rent a refrigerated truck for three days to save the deal. Anyone else had a client almost walk over equipment breakdowns?

$12,000 is serious money, was that hotel chain the one over on Grand River? Did you end up making them pay for the refrigerated truck rental or did you have to eat that cost to keep them happy?

Blew half my profit for the month renting that freezer truck just to keep them happy. My accountant said I should've just let the contract go and cried about it over cheap whiskey.
