My Detroit print shop got hit with a 4 day power outage and I lost a $2,800 rush job
So two weeks ago DTE shut our block down near Eastern Market for what was supposed to be 6 hours of line work, and it turned into 4 days. We had a $2,800 rush job for a Corktown brewery sitting on the press when everything died mid run, about 400 sheets in. I ended up renting a generator for $340 a day just to keep the fridge and phones alive, but the press was a total loss on that batch. Lost the client too, they went with a shop in Ferndale that had backup power. Any other Detroit owners here running a generator setup, and did it actually save you money when it mattered?
