Spent $250 on a "premium" storefront sign that faded in 3 months
I went with this company in Ferndale that advertised UV resistant vinyl and 5 year warranty. Figured paying more upfront was worth it. 3 months later the red letters are pink and the blue looks purple. Called them up and they said the warranty doesn't cover "environmental wear." Total runaround. Anyone else get burned by a sign shop around here?

You paid $250 and expected 5 years? That's like buying a $50 tire and wondering why it blows out. UV resistant vinyl still fades, it's just slower. Red and blue are the worst colors for fading too.

Ended up getting a local guy to redo mine with painted aluminum instead and it's held up way better, cost about the same. Might be worth asking around for someone who does metal signs, they don't really have this problem.
