Used to chase every new client in Detroit, now I let them come to me
I run a small print shop on Michigan Ave near the old train station. For years I did cold calls and cheap Facebook ads to get new customers. I spent about $400 a month on ads and wasted a ton of time. Six months ago, my nephew set up a Google Business Profile for me and started asking for reviews after each job. I went from 11 reviews to 84 in half a year. Now I get 3 or 4 calls a week from people searching 'custom shirts Detroit' and I haven't paid for an ad since March. The jobs are bigger too, like a $900 order from a church group last week. Anyone else here switch from paid ads to just relying on reviews and local search?
