Watched my barber's shop go from empty chairs to a 2 hour wait in 8 months
I get my hair cut at a small spot on Michigan Ave in Southwest Detroit and 8 months ago the place was dead, just the owner and one empty chair. Then he started posting 15 second videos of every fade on Instagram and tagging the clients, and now there's a line out the door on Saturdays. Last time I went in I waited 90 minutes and a guy drove in from Warren just for a cut. The weird part is he never changed his prices, still $30. Anyone else seen a Detroit shop blow up like that just from posting clips?
