A kid at the library in Sacramento asked me to sign his sketchbook and I almost cried
Six months ago I started posting my digital oil paintings in a local art Discord, mostly just to have somewhere to put them. Last Saturday I went to a small meetup at a library in Sacramento, and this 14 year old kid came up with a tablet in his bag and asked me to look at his stuff. I gave him like 20 minutes of feedback on his lighting, and then he pulled out a marker and asked me to sign his sketchbook. Nobody has ever asked me to sign anything before, and I just stood there holding the marker. Anyone else here get that first moment where you realized someone actually looks up to your work?
