After scrolling through fifty showcases, I'm baffled by the pose repetition.

Every piece has a character leaping or spinning. Can't we mix it up with some quiet moments? It feels like a checklist at this point.

Oh man, you just called out my entire portfolio (I have three separate jumping elf drawings, it's a problem). I'm guilty of treating the leap pose like a safety blanket.

Totally get where you're coming from. Saw the same thing when I was putting my own stuff together. Try adding a character just sitting on a bench or staring at their own hands. Those calm shots can show mood way better than another leap. Mixing in a few still poses makes the action ones stand out more too. It's like giving the viewer a chance to breathe.
