Can we talk about how long it took me to fix a simple clipping mask issue

I spent almost 4 hours last night trying to figure out why my clipping mask kept hiding half my painting in Procreate. I thought it was a layer order problem, so I kept moving things around and duplicating layers. Turns out I had a random alpha lock turned on that I forgot about from three days ago. That little lock icon cost me three and a half hours of frustration. I finally spotted it when I zoomed way out and noticed my brush strokes were only showing up in one tiny area. Has anyone else spent way too long on something this simple in digital art?

ive read a procreate tip blog that said alpha lock is the sneakiest trap in digital art.

@gavincampbell is spot on about that being the sneakiest trap and honestly alpha lock has haunted me too.
