Finally got my linework to feel right after a year of shaky sketches

I mean, for the first 8 months I was just using the basic brush in Procreate and my lines were always wobbly, idk. Then last month I watched a tutorial from an artist in Portland and switched to the studio pen with streamline set to 35%, and it just clicked. Has anyone else found a specific brush setting that totally fixed a basic skill for them?

That "streamline set to 35%" detail is the good stuff. I've been fighting the same wobbly line battle in Clip Studio. Did that Portland artist mention why that specific percentage worked, or was it just trial and error?

Honestly that 35% thing is a game changer. Tried it in Procreate after reading that and my lines finally have some weight to them. Before that everything looked like shaky chicken scratch. Think it adds just enough hand feel without losing control. Still tweaking it for inking versus sketching though.
