Spent 2 years painting characters with the wrong layer order in Procreate
I was painting skin tones under the hair instead of over it like a mask, and it took a tutorial from a random artist in a Tokyo livestream to show me how much cleaner the edges look when you work top-down; has anyone else had a 'wait I've been doing this backwards' moment with a specific tool?

Ugh, okay but is it though? I mean, what specifically are you talking about here? Because "that's just how life works" can mean a lot of different things, some of which are totally fine and some of which are kind of b.s. excuses. Are you talking about, say, a bad boss or a dumb rule at work, or like, a family member being difficult? Because in one case you might just have to roll with it, but in the other, fighting it is probably the right call. I feel like that phrase gets used to shut down conversations more than to actually explain anything. So yeah, which part of life are we saying is just like that?
