A clear difference between two moderation appeals I filed last month

I had two posts removed by the same platform, one for 'misinformation' about a local event and one for 'graphic content' showing a protest. I filed identical, polite appeals with the same evidence. The 'graphic content' appeal got a human reply and was restored in 48 hours. The 'misinformation' one got an automated denial and a 7-day account restriction. The only difference was the stated reason for removal. It shows how vague labels can be used to shut down discussion without real review. Has anyone else seen this kind of uneven appeal process based on the category of violation?

My local news station pulled a similar thing last year with their comment section. They'd delete anything calling out a sponsor but left up actual hate speech for days. It's the same selective enforcement, just makes you trust the whole system less.

Elliotr39 it actually was political, which is probably why it got the automated treatment. What worked for me in a similar situation was tweeting at the platform directly with a screenshot of the original post and the denial. Got a human to look at it within a day, and they overturned it without even adding a note about why the first denial happened. The key was making it public so they had to respond, I think that pressure is what got things moving for me.

Was the misinformation claim about something political?
