A friend in Chicago said my post about a local protest was 'dangerous misinformation'.
It was a video showing a cop pushing someone, which I saw with my own eyes. She reported it to the platform and it got removed for 'violence'. Since when is documenting something the same as promoting it? Has anyone had a post taken down just for showing what happened?

Yeah, that's so frustrating... it feels like the line between showing something and supporting it is totally gone now. I had a clip taken down last year for the same reason, just a recording of a public argument. They treat it like you're encouraging the act when you're really just holding up a mirror. Your friend might mean well, but seeing something happen is not the same as making it happen. The whole system is broken if truth gets removed for being hard to watch.

Wait, that was a whole YEAR they held your clip? That's insane how long it takes them to even look at these appeals while the damage is already done. @beth_hart68 I get where you're coming from but removing the video doesn't stop the violence, it just makes sure nobody sees it happening. Truth gets deleted and we all lose a little more trust in what we can even share online.
