Caught my hometown sub deleting a thread about the water bill spike
Went back to visit family in Fresno last week and checked the local subreddit, there was a whole thread about a 15% rate increase that got removed in under an hour. The mods said it was 'duplicate content' but I searched and found nothing else like it, just a pinned city hall post praising the new rates. It got me thinking about how small community spaces might be the real battleground for free speech these days, not just the big platforms. Has anyone else watched their local online spaces quietly scrub inconvenient talk like that?
