Found a pattern in how YouTube handles political speech differently by country

Been tracking takedowns of the same video across different regions. A video about Hong Kong's extradition law stayed up in the US but got flagged in the UK within 6 hours. Checked 12 mirror uploads on other platforms, same thing. Anyone else notice this kind of regional filtering happening with political content?

Isn't it wild how the rules just shift depending on where you're watching from? I noticed the same thing with a video about the protests in Thailand recently. It stayed up fine on YouTube in Canada but got hit with a "harmful content" warning in Australia within a couple hours. Kinda makes you wonder if these platforms are just bending to local pressure without any real consistency. Feels like free speech only applies up to a border line sometimes. Have you tried checking if the same thing happens with older or less popular political topics?

Wait, Australia hit it with a "harmful content" warning? That's wild. I had a video get flagged in the UK for "promoting terrorism" once, and it was just an old news clip about a protest from 2014. The inconsistency drives me crazy. Feels like they're just picking and choosing which local laws to follow based on who's yelling loudest that week.

Yeah and somehow my cat videos get flagged for "hate speech" in like three countries.
