Got a 30-day ban on my main account for a joke about a local mayor. Took 3 weeks of appeals to get it lifted.
The auto-mod on a big platform flagged a comment I made about the mayor of Phoenix as 'misinformation'. I had to file 5 separate tickets and finally got a human to review it after 21 days. They admitted the bot was wrong but my content was still suppressed for another week. Has anyone else had a joke get caught in the political speech filters lately?

My cousin got a 7-day ban for calling a city council member a silly goose. The appeal process was just as long.

That's wild, @abbyc33. A full week for "silly goose"? What platform was this on? I saw someone get a 24 hour timeout for way worse last month. Makes you wonder who's making these rules and what they actually consider a real insult. Did your cousin's appeal give any real reason for keeping the ban, or was it just a copy-paste message saying they broke community guidelines?
