Hit 50 banned comments in my subreddit and it changed my stance on moderation
I used to be all for letting anything through, thought censorship was worse than the garbage posts. Then I hit 50 removed comments in my subreddit last week, mostly hate speech and scams. Actually reading through them made me realize some lines just need to be drawn. Didn't you ever wonder how much junk mods quietly clean up?

Yeah it's the same everywhere not just online. Walk into any grocery store and you'll see security watching people, go to a concert and they check your bag at the door. People act like moderation is some big evil but real life is full of it.

Wait they actually have security watching people at the grocery store near you @sam_wood60? Tbh I've never noticed that at my local stores, that's kind of wild.
