Last Wednesday was the worst day for free speech I've seen on Twitter in years
Three separate accounts I follow got suspended within 4 hours for posting screenshots of local city council meetings calling out corruption, and one of them had 15k followers with no prior strikes - has anyone else noticed a sudden spike in removals this month?

Tbh the reality is platforms have always had terms of service and banning accounts for breaking them isn't censorship its just enforcement. Those screenshots could easily have included doxxed personal info or been violating some other rule buried in the tos. If anything Twitter's been way too slow to remove stuff that actually breaks their guidelines.

Honestly, I had a landscaping account with like 8k followers get wiped last year for posting a video of a council member caught on a hot mic. No warning, no option to appeal, just gone. Tbh what finally worked for me was finding a backup platform where I could reshare the same content without the same censorship rules. Ngl, it's a pain to rebuild, but at least the stuff stays up over there.
