My brother told me his entire gaming group got banned from a voice app for quoting a movie line

We were hanging out last weekend and he mentioned his whole crew got a permanent ban from a popular voice chat platform. The reason listed was 'hate speech' because they were quoting a famous line from a 90s action movie during a game. The automated system flagged it with zero human review, and all their appeals got the same copy-paste denial. It made me wonder how many other normal conversations are getting nuked by bots that can't understand context. Has anyone else seen a group ban happen over something this silly?

Automated bans are a pain but they're kinda necessary. The line must have been pretty bad to trigger it, even from a movie.

The moderation bots on that platform are way too sensitive. I got a 24 hour ban once for quoting a line from a comedy special. They really can't tell the difference between quoting and actual hate speech.
