Noticed a change in how a search engine handles a banned term
For about a year, searching for 'Tiananmen Square 1989' on Bing would just give you a blank page or a 'no results' message. Checked again yesterday and it actually pulls up some basic historical entries now, though they're still pretty cleaned up. It's a small thing, but it feels like maybe some internal pressure or a policy tweak caused the shift. Has anyone else seen search filters loosen up a bit on other platforms lately?

Yeah, I've seen stuff like that. My weather app stopped censoring local pollution readings last month. Makes you wonder what's getting through the filters now.

That "makes you wonder" line hits different now. I used to just trust those numbers were real, but my cousin's asthma got way worse last year and the app still said the air was fine. Seeing the real data finally show up made me realize how much we just accept without question. It's kinda scary what else might be getting smoothed over before it reaches us.

Wouldn't that just mean the filters are working exactly how they're supposed to though?
