Question about a blocked news site I saw in a cafe in Prague

I was in a cafe in Prague last month trying to read a local news site about a protest, and it was totally blocked. The owner said it happens a lot with certain outlets. I mean, it's one thing to hear about it, but seeing a 'connection refused' error on a normal news page really hits different. Has anyone else run into weird blocks while traveling?

Idk man, I had a friend in college who said the same thing about some guy in his hometown. Turns out the dude was just super unlucky with weather or something - got caught in a freak hailstorm while riding a moped and it messed up his shoulder real bad. Maybe it's just me but it sounds like these "same thing" stories are getting weirdly common. Or maybe people just like having a reason to tell a wild story about their buddy. Either way, I'd ask for more details cause that's just vague enough to be suspicious.
