Remember when you could just post a link to a news article without a summary?
Back in 2012 on a forum, I'd share a raw link to a Reuters piece and a real discussion would start. Now, if I do that on a big platform, the post gets hidden for 'low quality' or 'lack of context'. The algorithm changed everything around 2018, pushing for more 'engagement' over simple sharing. What's a good place left for just posting a source link without getting flagged?

Ugh, it's not just about the algorithm... it's about the death of the common reader. We used to assume people clicking a Reuters link could, you know, read the article and form their own take. Now the platforms treat everyone like they need a summary because they won't click through, which just makes people lazier. The real quiet places left are small topic-specific forums that never got big, or maybe private Discord servers. Any public square big enough to be useful has already been ruined by this need to hand-feed every single thought.

Right? When did we all get treated like we can't handle a full paragraph anymore? Feels like you have to go off the map just to have a real talk.
