Update: My history video channel got hit with false violations
I run a small channel posting clips about historical events. A few days ago, several videos were pulled for breaking rules. One clip had old photos of a peace rally with plain text facts. Nothing inflammatory or incorrect was in there. The system seems to flag anything with certain keywords now. People creating educational content should save copies and appeal these decisions. This quiet removal of factual stuff is a real problem for free speech online.

It's wild how the same platforms that fought old media gatekeepers now use bots to become the new gatekeepers. There's a real history repeating itself irony in removing historical facts this way.

Ugh, my buddy got a fact-check warning for sharing a well-known photo from the 60s. The bot just saw an old image and flagged it as "fake" without any real check. It's exactly that new gatekeeping you're talking about, just automated and way more clumsy.
