Vent: I saw a local news site get taken down for a post about a city council vote, but a bigger site ran the same story with no problem. Is it just about who you are?

That's probably not the whole story. The bigger site might have better lawyers or followed different posting rules. It's frustrating, but size and resources often matter more than the actual content.

Ugh, you hit the nail on the head. I've seen a smaller blog get hit with a takedown for using a single image, while a huge news site used the same one for weeks with no issue. It really does just come down to who can afford the legal fight.

Yeah, heard a podcast say the same thing. It's all about who has the cash to push back.
