Am I the only one who fixed a dead email list by sending LESS often
Last March my email list for my lawn care side gig was getting a 9% open rate and I could not figure out why. I was blasting 3 emails a week because some guru in a Dallas seminar told me volume wins. I cut it down to one email every other Tuesday, just one useful tip, and open rates jumped to 38% in about 6 weeks. Turns out people in the suburbs of Columbus were unsubscribing from the spam, not from me. Has anyone else seen frequency backfire like this, or was my case just weird?
