Google Ads flagged my best campaign on a Tuesday for no clear reason
Woke up Tuesday to an email saying my top performing search campaign was stopped for policy issues after running fine for 7 months. I panicked and started rewriting all the ad copy in a hurry, but then I just requested a review and left it alone. Turns out the flag came from one word in a headline that a review bot didn't like, and a human put it back up in about 4 hours. Lost maybe $60 in clicks that day, which honestly could've been way worse if I'd gone and deleted the whole thing. Has anyone else had a bot kill a good campaign and did the manual review actually fix it for you?
The manual review does work but it takes patience. I had the same thing happen last spring, a bot flagged one word in a headline and pulled the whole ad group down. I waited it out and got it back in about 6 hours. The key is to not touch anything while the review is pending, because editing resets the clock and can make it take way longer.
