6 months in Bali and I just figured out my internet was the problem

I kept blaming the coworking spaces for slow uploads, turns out my laptop was throttling wifi on battery saver mode the whole time. Found out when a random IT dude at a cafe in Ubud showed me the difference plugging it in made, literally 10x faster. Anyone else miss obvious settings and blame the wrong stuff for way too long?

Ubud cafe wifi is no joke lol but yeah I used to think battery saver was just for dimming the screen, never connected it to internet speeds. now I always plug in before big uploads.

Started doing the same thing after a big failed upload at a coworking space. @taraw16 you're right it makes a real difference for me plugging in before sending anything large. Keeps the connection stable and speeds up the whole process.
