Cold showers in Medellin went from awful to easy in 11 days
My hostel in El Poblado had no hot water for 11 days straight, and by day 7 my 5am showers stopped feeling like punishment. Now I'm wondering if I should keep them up back home, anyone else stick with something weird they picked up on the road?
Wait, did you actually get used to it or was it more like your body just gave up fighting? I ask because I had the same thing happen in Guatemala and I swear the cold stopped registering after a week, but then I went home and a lukewarm shower felt like ice. Kinda makes me wonder if it's the water or just your brain deciding it's not worth the drama anymore.
