Finally stopped chasing coworking spaces and just used a local library instead

I kept seeing everyone in this community talk about how coworking spaces are the only way to get real work done while traveling. So I tried three different ones in Medellin over two months and spent about $240 total. The internet was fine but the noise and the constant small talk killed my focus every time. I mean maybe it's just me but I got way more done just walking to the Biblioteca España near my apartment. Free wifi, quiet desks, and nobody trying to network with me while I'm in the middle of editing. Has anyone else ditched the whole coworking thing for something simpler like a public library?

Ditched coworking spaces after my third month in Chiang Mai when I realized I was paying $150 a month just to sit in a room that felt like a startup conference. Found the local library had better chairs, actual quiet zones, and nobody trying to sell me their crypto course. Plus you can bring your own coffee if you're sneaky about it, which saved me like $40 a month on cafe drinks.
