Had a guy in a Lima hostel explain why he quits every 6 months

I was in Lima last spring, killing time between loads, and this Swedish guy in the common room told me he works exactly 6 months a year then quits to travel. He said he lives out of a 35 liter bag and his whole life fits in that one rule. Anyone else met someone with a weird system that actually works for them?

Man that actually sounds kind of rad in a way. I mean I can't do that myself but I really respect when someone figures out a system that just works for them. It takes a lot of guts to live that light and not get dragged into normal life stuff. I bet he's probably a lot less stressed than most people I know. Good for him honestly it sounds like a solid plan if you're okay with not having a permanent home or a lot of stuff.
