Had to pick between a cafe with perfect wifi and one with actual chairs in Split
I chose the wifi spot, which meant working from a wobbly stack of three crates for 6 hours (my back is still mad at me). The owner saw me and just shrugged, saying 'digital nomad tax, my friend.' Anyone found a good middle ground between solid internet and basic furniture here?

My cousin did a month in Split last year and said the library near the market had decent internet and actual tables. That owner's comment is brutal, but he's not wrong about the tax. I would have taken the chairs every time, back pain is no joke. You might check coworking spots for a day pass, they usually have both. Six hours on crates sounds like a special kind of hell.

@loganburns knows the real hack, students always have the best spots.

Yeah the library tip is solid, I ended up at a cafe that had a back room with real chairs they'd let you use if you bought a coffee every few hours. Found it by asking a local student where they went to study, they always know the spots with outlets and no one bothering you.
