Just found out coworking spaces in Bangkok cost less than my coffee habit back home

I was tracking my spending last week and realized I was dropping $6 a day on lattes in Seattle. I checked the prices for coworking desks in Bangkok out of curiosity. Most places charge $3 to $5 a day for a hot desk with solid wifi. That blew my mind. I moved here two weeks ago and now I pay less for a whole day of workspace than I did for a single drink. Has anyone else noticed wild cost differences like that in other cities?

My first month in Chiang Mai I did the math and my daily iced coffee from a cart was 30 baht but a coworking day pass was 150 baht. I ended up just working from my apartment balcony with a 7-Eleven coffee because the cost difference made more sense for how I actually work. The wild thing is that 150 baht day pass usually includes free water and sometimes fruit too. I saved almost 200 bucks that first month compared to what I was paying for coffee and a tiny desk space back in Austin.

Wait, 30 baht for an iced coffee? That's less than a dollar.
