Just realized I wasted 6 months hauling a laptop stand to 9 countries for nothing
I was in Medellin last week and my back was killing me again, so I finally chucked my $40 aluminum stand in a hostel free bin. Turns out I mostly work from cafes where they prop the laptop on a stack of menus anyway, and my neck felt fine the next day. Six months of packing that thing through airports in Bangkok, Lisbon, and Tbilisi for basically zero payoff. Anyone else carry gear they never actually use on the road?
Hauling a laptop stand to 9 countries is wild, I ditched mine after two trips once I saw hostel bins full of them. Just stack books or ask the cafe for a few menus, your neck won't know the difference.
