That 'coworking pass in Bali' advice from a guy in Ubud was a total flop

Some random digital nomad at a cafe told me to just buy a month pass at Dojo Bali and I'd make tons of connections. Spent $250 on it and ended up stuck at a table next to someone on Zoom calls all day, barely talked to anyone. Anyone else regret blowing cash on a coworking space that was way overhyped?

Man, that Dojo place was a total letdown for me too. I dropped $280 on a month pass there and ended up camped out near a guy who was literally playing his guitar during lunch, not even working. The whole "networking paradise" vibe was just a bunch of people staring at their own laptops, nobody even looked up from their screen. A total waste of cash if you ask me.

Read somewhere that these coworking spots in Bali are more like expensive hostels with wifi than actual networking hubs. Tbh it sounds like paying for a "community" that doesnt actually exist.
