The real hack for coworking spaces is booking meeting rooms for free

I was bouncing between Bali and Chiang Mai for 6 months and kept getting kicked out of common areas for taking Zoom calls. Every coworking space charges like $20 an hour for a private room which is ridiculous when you're on a monthly pass. Then I noticed that most spaces let you book the meeting rooms for free if they're not reserved within 30 minutes. So now I just show up early, grab a room that's empty on the schedule, and camp there for 2-3 hours before anyone claims it. Did this at Outpost in Ubud for like 4 weeks straight without a single issue. The staff never said anything because technically I was just using an unbooked room. Has anyone else figured out a loophole like this or am I just getting lucky?

Man I used to think you were just getting lucky but honestly that's kind of genius, I never considered just grabbing a room before the schedule fills up.

That's the move right there. I've had too many times where waiting an extra hour cost me the spot, so now I book as soon as the schedule drops.
