Used to plan every wifi stop like a mission, now I just wing it
Back in 2018 I'd map out coffee shops with speed tests before even landing in a city, spent like 2 hours per destination on it. Now I just roll into town and ask the hostel front desk where they work from, barely ever have issues. Anyone else find the planning got more stressful than the actual work?

Spending those two hours up front saved me way more time in the long run when I was still figuring out what worked. Now I know the big chains usually have decent wifi, the trendy spots often don't, and libraries are always a solid backup. Rolling up blind in a new city just wastes my first day when I could have gotten straight to work.

@lisat60 I get your system but I kind of like the surprise of exploring a new place.
