Why does everyone act like coworking spaces are the only option for nomads?
I landed in Chiang Mai last month thinking I'd join a coworking space right away but found the vibe way too distracting with constant calls and meetups happening around me. It took me 6 days and 4 different cafes to realize that a quiet hostel rooftop with solid WiFi works better for my focus and saves me $150 a month. Has anyone else figured out a non-traditional setup that actually beats the coworking hype?

Right there with you, the whole coworking scene isn't for everyone. @blake302 makes a good point about networking though, that's the real tradeoff you gotta weigh for yourself.

Wait is the networking aspect not a huge part of the whole point though? I mean yeah it can get loud but I've met like three legit clients and a couple travel buddies just from overhearing conversations at my shared workspace. At a hostel rooftop you're basically cutting yourself off from that whole scene which is kinda the main reason people do this lifestyle.
