Blew a speaker at 3am doing a live set at La Luna in San Salvador
I was playing my D11-04 tracks at this small club near the market, about 40 people there. The bass on 'Noche Fría' just ripped the cone on my right monitor, total silence for like 10 seconds. I switched to headphones and kept mixing while the sound guy ran to grab a backup from his car. Crowd actually cheered when I brought it back, no idea how I held it together. Anyone else dealt with gear dying mid set and had to improvise?

Keep a backup cable in your sock for emergencies.

Man, I learned that the hard way after I had to borrow a charger at a bus station and it was dead. Tucking a short cable in my sock liner has saved me more than once when I was out walking around. It's flat enough you don't feel it, and you're never stuck if your battery dies.
