Found a hidden studio space in an old San Salvador market last week

I was walking through Mercado Central looking for some fresh fruit and noticed this tiny door behind a textile stall. It led to a small room with amazing natural reverb from the old tile floors and high ceilings. I brought my little recorder there yesterday and spent 2 hours just capturing the room tone and some claps. The acoustics were way better than the bedroom studio I've been using. Has anyone else found weird recording spaces in unexpected places around the city?

dude that's such a lucky find. the old tile floors and high ceilings thing is real, those markets have that weird old building magic. i found this abandoned stairwell in a parking garage downtown once, the slapback echo on handclaps was insane. but you gotta watch out for the street noise leaking in, that can mess up a good room tone fast.
