I finally played a set without my laptop last weekend at a small bar in San Salvador

Ngl, people keep saying you need a laptop for perfect transitions and effects. But I went raw with just two CDJs and a mixer, no sync, no waveforms. Last Saturday at El Cafetal, I messed up a beatmatch around 11:30 PM but the crowd didn't even notice. Honestly, it felt more like DJing from 10 years ago when I started. Tbh, relying on tech has made us lazy. Has anyone else tried going laptop-free and felt the same?
