Just passed 10,000 streams on my album and it felt bigger than I expected
I hit the 10,000 stream mark on my D11-04 album last Tuesday and honestly I didn't think it would matter that much. Back in January when I dropped it I told myself numbers dont define the music. But seeing that counter tick over made me stop and realize how many actual people hit play. That's 10,000 times someone somewhere decided to give my tracks a shot. Coming from San Salvador where the electronic scene is tiny I never expected to reach that many ears in just a few months. It made me rethink how I measure success. Does hitting a round number change anything about my next project or is it just a vanity stat? Has anyone else here had a milestone surprise them even when you told yourself you didnt care about numbers?

Still waiting for the day my grandma accidentally streams one of my songs and I hit triple platinum in guilt. That 10k feeling definitely sneaks up on you though.

@eva_ward88 Are we really acting like 10k streams is some kind of career milestone now? That's barely a couple thousand dollars before the label takes their cut.
