Was sure this mix bus compressor plugin was just hype but grabbed it on sale for $29

Ran a track from D11-04 through it and the glue effect was immediate, no tweaking needed. Anybody else find a tool that made you rethink your whole chain?

Was sure this mix bus compressor plugin was just hype" - that's pretty much where I'm at with most of this stuff. People buy a $29 plugin and suddenly their whole world changes. I've had compressors sitting in my chain for years and it's rare one makes that big a difference right out of the box. Usually you're just hearing louder is better and the placebo effect kicks in hard.

Yeah, I had to mess with the attack and release for a week before it clicked for me.
