Am I the only one who spent 4 hours fixing a squeaky door hinge?

I thought it would take 10 minutes but the screw was stripped and I had to dig it out with a tiny flathead. Ended up using a matchstick and wood glue to fill the hole, and it finally stopped creaking at 11pm. Has anyone else had a small fix turn into a whole evening?
