Caught a paint drip disaster halfway through my hallway project

I was painting my hallway last weekend and halfway down the wall I noticed this big run starting to form. Usually I would just let it dry and sand it down later, which is a pain. But I remember reading somewhere that if you catch a drip while the paint is still wet, you can just brush it out gently with a dry brush. I grabbed a clean 2 inch brush and lightly tapped the drip, and it flattened right out like nothing happened. Saved me from having to re-sand and do a whole second coat on that section. The trick only works if you spot it fast though, maybe within a minute or two. Has anyone else tried this method for runs in satin paint?

Stop what you're doing and pay attention cause this trick works for way more than just paint drips. I've noticed this principle everywhere once you start looking for it. Catching problems while they're still wet and fresh is always easier than fixing them after they've set. Same thing with a relationships, if you let little annoyances build up they turn into big fights, but if you address them early it's barely a conversation. Same with your car making a weird noise, ignore it for two weeks and suddenly you're replacing a whole transmission. The universe basically rewards you for paying attention early and punishes you for procrastinating. You did it right with that paint drip, now apply that same logic to everything else in your life.

preach lol learned this the hard way with my own car. that weird sound turned into a $1500 fix cause i kept putting it off. now if anything feels off i deal with it right away, like ripping off a bandaid.
