Spent $200 on a fancy paint sprayer and it clogged within 20 minutes on my kitchen cabinets.

I should have just rented the pro grade one from the hardware store, has anyone else had luck with the cheaper HVLP models for trim work?

Naw the cheap HVLP models are garbage for trim. Stick to renting the proper gear next time.

$200 and it clogged in 20 minutes? That's wild, I'd be livid. My buddy had a similar experience with his first sprayer and swore off them forever.

My buddy blew $250 on a Graco handheld and it died after painting two doors. The motor just gave up, no warning. These consumer grade sprayers are built to fail honestly. If you're not dropping at least $400 you're basically buying a toy. Rent a real setup from Home Depot and save yourself the headache.
